About Prof Levison S. Chiwaula
Prof Levison S. Chiwaula is a Professor of Economics at the University of Malawi, Malawi. He holds a PhD in Economics from the Leibniz University of Hannover in Germany, an MA in Economics from the University of Malawi, and a BSc in Agriculture from the University of Malawi. He is a development economist with focus on agricultural economics and health economics. His research interests include value chain analysis of agricultural products, poverty and vulnerability analysis, impact evaluations, economic evaluations of health care interventions, and rural development. He has held several positions within the University including Head of Department of Economics, at the University of Malawi having previously served as Dean of Faculty of Social Science, Deputy Dean of Social Sciences, Head of Department of Economics, and Deputy Head of Department of Economics.
